This painting was inspired by the South Texas cactus bloom — rooted, resilient, and quietly radiant. It grows through heat, dry seasons, and everything that should have kept it from flowering. And then, quietly, it does exactly that. It blooms anyway. Not in spite of where it's planted, but because of it.
