About Kris
I’m a South Texas artist inspired by nature, florals, and the pets we love. My work is created to bring warmth, beauty, and a sense of presence into a space—art that feels personal, welcoming, and deeply lived with. I believe art should make a home feel more peaceful, meaningful, and full of heart.
I’ve always been drawn to creating. My artistic journey began years ago after seeing a painted motorcycle and feeling curious about how it was made. That led me to pick up an airbrush—and and I've been chasing that feeling ever since. Over time, I’ve developed a style that moves between photorealism and expressive abstraction, using acrylic, watercolor, pen, pencil, and pastels to capture both detail and emotion.
Today, I create original fine art, prints, and custom pet portraits for collectors who want artwork that feels connected—to place, to memory, and to the things they love most.
My work has been featured in magazines and appeared on an episode of Bar Rescue. I’ve taught art classes and collaborated with talented artists who continue to influence and refine my creative voice.
Outside the studio, I serve as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the San Antonio Fire Department. That experience has deeply shaped how I see the world. Witnessing both the fragility and strength of life has strengthened my desire to honor beauty in everyday moments. The balance between service and creativity is central to who I am.
I’m a proud native Texan, deeply connected to the land, my family, my faith, and the animals that bring so much joy into our lives. In a world where kindness can feel scarce, I try to lead with it—because I believe it transforms both art and everyday life.
My work is rooted in place, presence, and the belief that art should feel like home.
If something here speaks to you, I'd love for you to look around — whether that's an original, a print, or a custom pet portrait made just for you.
